Jesus once said that the poor will always be with us.  That does not mean that we can ignore them or grow callous to their cries.  To the contrary, we are called to help the poor and to give freely from  the blessings we have been granted.  Giving to the poor and needy does not mean just a monetary donation.  We give of our time, our love, our prayers and, yes, sometimes our money.  UBIA Ministries sponsors orphans, gives food to the hungry and provides medical care to those suffering from HIV/AIDS.  Our present ministries include ministering to orphans and vulnerable children, supporting palliative care outreach and facilitating local evangelism in Tanzania.  The opportunities to help are endless, but the joy we experience by coming alongside others is equally priceless.
